The Life and Times of Matthew John Hollo
Coming into the World
I was born May 1st 1996 in St. Mary's hospital. My mother and father were extatic when i was born because i was a boy and all of their friends were having girls. Of course 2 years after i was born my beautiful sister Gianna was born and then 6 years after that my beautiful sister Claudia was born. My dad and I are the only boys in our intermediate family so i am very close with him and we got even closer when my passion for baseball came out of me ever since i was able to throw up a ball and hit it with a bat.
Baseball
Baseball is like church. Many attend few understand.
When I was little I fell in love with baseball. Once i was old enough to play for the town of Seymour i started immediatly. All i would do is play baseball. My passion for the game kept growing and growing. Then i really started working on it after i made the Little League Majors and Little League Allstars my second year of majors. My 3rd year of majors was my best year. Every single day after school I would go to Gary Park in Seymour and hit buckets of baseballs with my dad to get my self better. This all paid off because in the little league season i hit 7 homeruns and then in Allstars I hit another 1. So my final year i had 8 homeruns. The Allstar team was also the District 3 Champs which we had not won in 21 years. Baseball means a lot to me. I worked very hard at baseball. I put my whole life into it and will never stop playing it.
Football
You have to play this game like somebody just hit your mother with a two-by-four.
My freshman year of High School I joined the football team. I knew absolutly nothing about it. All my coaches nutured me and turned me into a football player. I have nothing but respect for them. They encouraged me, they showed me all i know, they helped me through it all and I am very thankful for that. They showed me that i can achieve great things if i work hard. They pushed me to become what i am now. My passion for football has been growing since I was in the weightroom in the summer going into freshman year. I will try my hardest to make my coaches as proud of me as they can be.
Fishing
I have laid aside business, and gone a'fishing.
When I had turned ten i had this sudden urge to start going fishing. It is a great way to relax and hang out with your friends. My father taught me everything i know up to now and is still teaching me. I have developed a burning passion for fishing. The feeling of something being on the end of your line and not knowing what it is, is just auxilarating. Whenever i have spare time i go fishing either for trout or bass. I always go with my best friend Paul because he shares the same passion for it like i do. Paul and i have spent countless hours fishing, some days good, some days bad, but you know what? I wouldnt change it for the world.
My Family
A family in harmony will prosper in everything.
I'm always caught up with sports, but my family is the most important thing in my life. They are always there when i need them. I love them with all my heart. My lovely mother, my 2 beautiful sisters, and of course my stone crusher of a father. My mother and father aren't the only people who have raised me though. Everyday i would go to my grandmother and grandfather's house. They had a huge influence on me. My grandmother and grandfather have such a special place in my heart. They were there for every huge moment in my life. All of my family have been there for me. My aunts, uncles, grandparents, sisters, and parents were always there.
My Idol
Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me forever.
My father has been the biggest influence on me. I have tried to mimic him and follow in his footsteps. He is the most inteligent man i have ever met. He has raised me the right way. He is not afraid to work. He provides for my family no matter what. He goes without to benefit his children. He has always told me what can't kill me makes me stronger and that is how I live my life. He is a man that you could never out smart. He always says don't ever think you wake up smarter than me. He pushed me in everything i have ever done. He is a hard guy to deal with because he expects your best and nothing less. He breaks your stones about everything and makes you realize what you do wrong. He is turning me into a man.
Where I am Now
Right now I am going to be a junior in Seymour High School. My high school days so far have been the best times of my life and they are only going to continue to get better. I have had so much fun so far. But junior year is going to be very tough. It is time for me to buckle down and get to work. I haven't done so hot in school my freshman and sophomore year and junior year will be different. Right now all i can look forward to is summer. Fishing all the time, lifting for football, playing baseball, and most importantly being with my friends and family. All of this website has been my life up to this point. i hope whoever is reading this is pleased with what i have wrote down.
